Very small, lightweight, and dynamic – the monocentric Light Modular Knee Joints 3R95 and 3R95=1 offer a low-profile, high-performance knee.
Small Powerful Package
The unique miniature hydraulic system creates dynamic extension resistance. In addition, it prevents the leg from swinging through too far on flexion while ensuring the extension stop is not too hard. Therefore, it supports the mobility of active users and helps improve gait pattern.
The hydraulic system provides powerful damping even when the user speeds up or slows down. As a result, patients maintain a consistent, natural gait pattern at a variety of walking speeds. The swing phase can be initiated easily and your patient requires less energy for walking. At high speeds, the system automatically reduces the degree of flexion and therefore ensures a high level of security. At the end of the swing phase, the hydraulic terminal damping ensures a soft extension stop.
The 3R95 with a knee flexion angle of 135° is suitable for people who weigh up to 150 kilograms. The 3R95=1 offers a knee flexion angle of 155° and is especially designed for amputees who weigh less than 75 kilograms.
Easy Adjustment Possibilities
The two Light Modular Knee Joints 3R95 and 3R95=1 can be customized to your patient’s activity and gait pattern. The flexion and extension resistance used to control the swing phase can be adjusted separately. The design of the hydraulic linkage geometry allows powerful resistance even with a high degree of flexion. The standing phase is secured by posterior placement of the joint and active control by the amputee.
The strengths of the 3R95 are especially noticeable when it is combined with dynamic prosthesic feet.
