The London 2012 Paralympic Games will be the 12th Games where Otto Bock has provided technical services to athletes, a tradition that started in 1998.
Otto Bock first provided technical service to athletes at the Seoul 1988 Paralympic Games. Four technicians from Australia provided technical repair services for wheelchairs, prosthetics and orthotics to the 3,057 participating athletes from 60 countries.
Coincidently this was the first year that the carbon fibre springs that have become such an iconic symbol of Paralympic sport were used by athletes in Paralympic Games.
